Privacy Policy
Debias is made by Pluto.Studio. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with information about you. It covers the Debias Android application distributed through Google Play.
The short version
Debias has no accounts and no login. Your quiz history, saved biases, and reflection entries stay on your device. We do not run our own servers and we cannot see what you write in the app. The app does serve ads and offer in-app purchases, and those two services do involve third parties, described below.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in Debias is stored locally on your phone:
- Quiz answers, scores, and accuracy history
- Biases you have saved or bookmarked
- Reflection entries and the decisions you log
- App settings and preferences
None of this is transmitted to Pluto.Studio. Uninstalling the app removes it. If you have Android backup enabled, your device may include app data in your own Google backup — that is a setting you control in Android, not something the app requests.
Advertising
Debias displays ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve those ads, AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier, approximate location derived from IP address, and general device information. This processing is carried out by Google, not by Pluto.Studio, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
You can limit this on Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of ad personalisation.
In-app purchases
Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Pluto.Studio never receives or stores your payment details. Google handles the transaction and shares only confirmation that a purchase occurred. Refunds and billing questions go through Google Play.
What we do not do
- We do not ask you to create an account
- We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number
- We do not sell or rent information about you to anyone
- We do not read your reflection entries — they never leave your device
Children
Debias is rated for general audiences but is written for an adult reading level and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, email us and we will address it.
Your rights
Because your data stays on your device, you already control it. You can clear individual reflections in the app, clear all app data through Android's app settings, or uninstall Debias to remove everything. For questions about data held by Google through AdMob or Play Billing, use Google's own privacy controls.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
